Selection of FVTC for The 100% Free Scholarship Program offered by PADESCE and FULLY funded by the World Bank
Ferrometal Vocational Training Center (FVTC) has been officialy selected as a partner training structure under the 100% Scholarship Training Program, a joint initiative of the Government of Cameroon and the World Bank, implemented through the Secondary Education and Skills Development Project (SESDP). The Project connects young Cameroonians with accredited Vocational Training Centers offering internationally recognized professional certifications, with tuition fully covered by the program.
This recognition, published in Annexe N°001 to Press and Radio Communiqué N°046/C/PADESCE/UCP/CG/MCDC/MP/SF1/ASE/TR of 25 May 2026, lists FVTC among the accredited vocational training partners authorized to deliver welding programs fully funded under the scholarship scheme, at no cost to selected trainees.

This selection reaffirms FVTC’s standing as one of Cameroon’s leading welding and industrial training institutions and strengthens our mission to build a skilled, certified workforce for the country’s growing industrial sector.
As a selected partner, FVTC will host and train scholarship beneficiaries across four welding programs, each leading to an internationally recognized certification (ISO 9606) or professional homologation. Below is the official extract from Annexe N°001, exactly as published by PADESCE:

In total, FVTC will welcome up to 150 fully-funded trainee places across the four programs, ranging from short two-month Welding and homologation courses (5G–6G) to more advanced six-month MIG/MAG welding and homologation tracks, as well as TIG homologation for candidates already trained in SMAW.
